About that bridge

E.J. McMahon

How does Governor Cuomo intend to pay for a new Tappan Zee Bridge?  Nicole Gelinas explores that question in an op-ed in today’s New York Post.  Taking a closer look at cross-Hudson traffic trends, she suggests that higher bridge tolls alone aren’t unlikely to cover it.

Meanwhile, as I wrote in Newsday last week, the governor has been making labor deals that will drive up the cost of construction on the Tappan Zee and other infrastructure projects for which capital is in short supply.

  2. This Bridge Will Forever Be Known As ” Cuomo’s Folly ” after tolls approach $ 20.00 !!! For 5 or 6 Billion we can certainly make the old bridge last another 150 Years. My My How Democrats Love To Spend Money !!!
